What to prepare beforehand
Have your business registration details, a bank account for payouts, and your menu, ideally already photographed, ready before starting the signup process. Preparing the menu content in advance means you are not scrambling to write descriptions and take photos after the account is already approved and waiting to go live.
The general stages
Signup typically starts in the GrabMerchant app or its web signup flow, where business and bank information is submitted. This is followed by a verification period on Grab's side, then account setup, building the menu with categories, items, photos, descriptions, and pricing, before the listing goes live and starts receiving orders.
- Submit business and payout details through GrabMerchant signup.
- Wait through Grab's verification period.
- Build the menu: categories, items, photos, descriptions, pricing.
- Review the listing before it goes live.
| Item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Business registration details | Required for signup verification |
| Bank account for payouts | Required to receive order earnings |
| Photographed menu | Avoids a weak listing at launch |
| Commission-aware pricing | Avoids thin delivery margin from day one |

After going live
The work does not end at approval. Pricing needs to account for commission, as covered in our delivery menu pricing guide, and the listing benefits from ongoing attention, not a one-time setup and forget approach.
