Government support for the sector
Thailand's ไทยช่วยไทยพลัส scheme has included a 60/40 co-payment structure aimed at supporting local spending, reported by Thairath. Programs like this are part of the broader economic backdrop restaurant owners operate in, alongside platform-level dynamics.
What this means for a restaurant owner
With two platforms covering roughly 90 percent of the market, the practical priority for most restaurants is getting GrabFood and LINE MAN listings complete, correctly priced for commission, and actively managed, rather than spreading attention across every available platform. Our guide comparing Grab, LINE MAN, and ShopeeFood goes into this prioritization in more detail.
